This is a tough world in which to be bisexual. The
majority society insists you must be heterosexual. The gay and lesbian community
insists that bi folks must be incapable of making a decision, or too damn scared
to pick the queer side. What rot! Obviously we're queer... we're just queerly
so. What's funny is there are so many ways to describe "bisexual." There are so
many experiences and lifestyles within what some call the bisexual community. So
how do we express all that there is to shine a light on those of us who are
Kinsey 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s?
After giving the matter some thought, and
wanting illumination on the subject myself, it seemed the best way was to begin
a bisexual writers' forum, a place where bi folks (and allies) can share their
prose and poetry on the subject of bisexuality and the myriad of bisexual
lives.
Meaning: I NEED SUBMISSIONS!
Send me your writings, scribblings, whatever so that we can post them here on The Biway for all to read. You needn't identify yourself if you don't want--identification isn't the point--your feelings, your ideas, your lives are. And you don't have to be a professional writer. I happen to be, but my contention is that in everyone lurks a writer, grammar and perfect punctuation be damned. Just put it down and email it in to me. Let's share our lives. Let's share a bit of ourselves. And let's see the bisexual community in all its glorious richness and diversity.
Send your Bisexual Submissions to The Biway!
